No matter how hard you try, some people will just never understand you because they are unable to. It's as if you spoke Chinese to someone who cannot speak Chinese. For all their goodwill, no matter how slowly or clearly you speak to them, they will never understand you until they learn how to speak Chinese, and most people never will.
Am I being horribly elitist, or just realistic?
